Best Massage For Detoxification & Immune System Support
Lymphatic Massage in Hendersonville, TN
We Offer Two Options for Lymphatic Massage:
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) / Vodder Method
Vodder Method Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is extremely gentle, precise, and slow. It uses light, circular, and pumping movements that follow specific lymph pathways along the body. Vodder is medically informed and designed to support lymph flow for therapeutic purposes, such as post-surgical swelling, lymphedema management, or overall general lymphatic health. Our Complete Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) utilizes ultra gentle-precise touch. This therapy effectively targets scar tissue reduction, fat cell opening, and detoxification. MLD is the gold standard for swelling, chronic edema, true detoxification and medical lymphatic support.
Post Operative/Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)/ Vodder Method
Ideal for clients up to 4 months post-operative. Clients can be seen as early as post-op day #1 in studio with or without drains. This type of treatment is ideal for: tummy tucks, mastectomies, breast lifts/augmentations, face lift procedures, liposuction, etc.
To ensure our therapist is consistently compensated for their specialized post-operative care, all post-op services now include a built-in service charge. No additional gratuity is expected.
What To Expect When Getting a Lymphatic Massage
1
Initial Consultation
Your session begins with a brief discussion with your licensed massage therapist to review your health history, goals (e.g., reducing swelling, post-surgical recovery, or relaxation), and any medical conditions. This ensures the massage is tailored to your needs.
2
Comfortable Setting
You’ll be in a calm, private room with soft lighting and relaxing music to enhance relaxation. You’ll lie on a padded massage table, typically covered with a sheet or blanket for warmth and comfort.
3
Gentle, Rhythmic Techniques
Unlike deep-tissue massage, lymphatic massage uses light, precise, and rhythmic strokes to stimulate lymph flow. The therapist applies gentle pressure in specific patterns, often starting near lymph nodes (e.g., neck, armpits, or groin) and moving toward areas of swelling or stagnation.
4
Targeted Areas
The massage focuses on areas with lymph nodes or fluid buildup, such as the legs, arms, or abdomen, depending on your needs. The therapist may work in a specific sequence to encourage lymph drainage toward the body’s central lymphatic ducts.
5
Non-Invasive and Painless
The touch is very light, so expect a relaxing, non-painful experience. You may feel subtle movements or a sense of fluid shifting as the lymph is mobilized.
